The Coast Combinatorics Conferences began in 1999. They feature a diverse collections of talks on topics in Discrete Mathematics and Theoretical Computer Science. There are usually two meetings per year, one on the Canadian west coast in mid-February, and one on the Canadian east coast in early May. Both meetings feature a collegial, collaborative, workshop-style atmosphere.

As in 2013 and 2015 (west) Coast Combinatorics Conference will be held on the Island of Hawaii.  It will run over four days and feature about thirty talks, plus time for collaboration with colleagues. The meeting will be considered a success if all participants have some interesting talks to attend, and some colleagues to work with.

Accommodation.   The Courtyard King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel, the conference venue, has set aside a block of 45 rooms for conference participants.  There are two sets of rates available, depending on whether parking is included.  All amounts quoted in the following are subject to applicable taxes, currently 13.42%.  The rate for "room only" is $150.00 for standard, $170 for partial ocean view, and $205 for ocean front.  Add $11 to each rate for a "room with parking" for 1 car.   The latter two room types are offered subject to availability.   The parking charge is about $15 for additional cars, or if "room plus parking" is not chosen.   The maximum  number of adults per room is 4, and using existing bedding.  A rollaway charge of $35 per night plus taxes is applicable, and rollaways are subject to availability.

Subject to availability, the rates will be honoured three days prior to, and three days following, the conference.  This means that the first night for which they are available is day, February 10, 2017, and the last night for which they are available is Sunday, February 19, 2017.

Please contact the organizer (details below) to get details about how to register as part of the conference group and receive the special rate. The deadline for the group rate is December 30, 2016 (provided space remains available).

Conference Registration.  There is a registration fee of $100 (CDN$ or US$).  The only way to register is to send a cheque, payable to the University of Victoria, to
