Title
Hide and Seek with the Cantor Set
Abstract
Exotic objects draw attention in every field of study. Working on these objects or specific examples serve as a probing exercise and help question our assumptions. Cantor Set is a powerful example of this. During this talk we will look at the classical construction of the Cantor Set. Its properties and different ways of acquiring it. Making use of Hausdorff dimension and measure we will try to get a grip of standard as well as non-standard Cantor sets.
