Math and Stats Assistance Centre

The Math and Stats Assistance Centre offers a friendly space where students can come work on math and stats homework alone or in groups, and get assistance from our skilled tutors. The Assistance Centre has three locations: in the David Turpin Building (home of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics), in the Learning Commons (located in the McPherson Library), and in the Academic Resource Centre (located in the Residence Resource Hub, in Hodges 104)

Learning and Teaching Centre

The Learning and Teaching Centre supports excellent teaching through workshops for faculty and teaching assistants, curriculum retreats for faculties and departments, and grants for University members interested in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. The LTC also directly supports student learning, through resources like the Centre for Academic Communication (formerly The Writing Centre).

Merit Program

The Merit Program at Illinois offers workshop-style recitation sections for students in math, biology, and chemestry.  I always enjoy teaching Merit classes; the small class size and focus on group work make for a great learning environment.

Japan House

A wonderful facility at the University of Illinois, in the arboretum. I take tea ceremony classes there; tea ceremonies are open to visitors every Thursday during the semester.

A First Course in Linear Algebra

Introductory textbook developed by Professor Beezer at University of Puget Sound. It is licensed with a GNU free document license; the full text is available online.

Technology in the math classroom

A webpage I made as part of the course CI 436: The Role of Technology in Secondary Mathematics Education, which I took in Fall 2010 as part of a Masters in Math Education. There are a couple of interesting things in there, particularly in the 'Internet Resources' tab.
